Genshin Impact is a game created and published by Mihoyo MiHoYo. This game is an action, role-playing game which was made available in September 2020. The game is playable in Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Android, and iOS, and in April 2021 for PlayStation 5, with a Nintendo Switch version planned in the future.
The game occurs in the beautiful world of Teyvat. Teyvat is home to seven distinct nations; each nation is tied to a different element and ruled by seven various gods. The game starts as the player is a traveler from another world attacked by a goddess. As a consequence, the player loses the siblings during the attack. The main goal of this game is to rescue the sibling. Like any other game, instead of extensive searching for the captured sibling, the player will be sidetracked into doing quests, fighting deities and crafting new items.
Since the game is available for free, the game comes with a “gacha” system. These are often known as loot boxes which entices you to expend both in-game cash and cold hard cash on randomized heroes, gear, consumables, and other items. Despite this, the game still managed to maintain a good balance so that those who don’t want to spend any money may still appreciate the entire game for free.
This game is superb in early to mid-game, but the late-game seems to be a little lacking. The later part of the game requires a lot of grinding to earn rewards or level-up the characters. The grinding is unbearable because to increase a character level or weapon, it needs to be fed with certain resources that are rare to find. This involves exploring Teyvat to solve puzzles, search for secret chest for slivers of XP and loot, defeating the deities.
Furthermore, after playing for a long time, the quest for this game becomes minimal and repetitive. The game lacks fine-tuning and game content expansion. Also, there are instances wherein the game crashes and restarts the player’s progress. Yet, it is still a fun-filled exciting game for everyone to enjoy.

This magnificent, spacious animated world is heavily inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. For instance, the stamina-based “climb anything” feature and gliding would remind its players of Link’s open-world adventures in Hyrule when exploring it. Despite the uncanny resemblance between the two worlds, Teyvat is still a world full of endless possibilities. A simple encounter in this world would lead to a lengthy boss fight or a random chest quest.
Furthermore, Genshin Impact has a number of innovative gameplay mechanisms and attractive stories that would make players of this game would definitely enjoy. It has various weapons, elementals, abilities, ascension bonuses, and constellation upgrades to choose from, it can be difficult to narrow down your favorites. A combination of different elemental characters could make the game more enojoyable and fun!
